Untitled Sonnet

Love, like a mirror, has no heart but plenty of ideas
Hours of anguish and admiration beholding a distant figure on the other side
Ahead of you a vibrant soul burning with passion, beauty and fear
And to you they seem so untouchable, and there's such a huge divide
So strong you feel your heart being torn in two
One for you, one for them though they'll never receive
The most precious gift that you can part with due
To the notion that you are not, and never will be
One to meet the expectations, and pain blazes so bright
You're blinded, and you're praying to any god and anyone
Knowing that they won't care or listen but hoping that they might
With all this confusion and emotion you feel your mind come undone
Love, like a magic mirror warps and distorts
No heart has a mirror only damaging thoughts.

You

When you smile it's at my heart
And you pull me back
To light, to life, to love
Flying, gliding
Clouds below sail by
We can move mountains
I'm carried on your wings.

Your eyes tell a story -
Different each time I look into them, they
Catch me, hold me, keep me
I fall, I plunge
Into them. Deep river of thought
I drift and and sink
They're my favourite.

Your arms pull me in
Hold me to your heart
Blanket, shield, rock
Uphold, upraise,
Time slows, a minute a heartbeat,
Existence beyond you and me is gone
In that instant everything is perfect.

But it is your ferocity that hypnotises me
Hold me in your blistering palm
Blaze, rage, ignite
You are fire, you are the inferno
Passion melts us like snow and burns
Erupt and spill, anger and emotion cascade
Hot magnet, attract me.
